Linlithgow Rugby Club celebrate two more trophy successes


The Reds claimed the Pond Plate in the Edinburgh Northern Sevens tournament - one of the biggest in Edinburgh - at Inverleith Park on Saturday.
It took the squad a while to gel, but once they got going they clicked and they came away with the Pond Plate trophy, having beaten English guest side Millom from Cumbria in the semi-final before disposing of Liberton 46-7 in the final.

Hide AdAnd on Sunday the Wee Reds P5 Minis were triumphant against a strong line-up of teams in Galashiels at the big Borders Mini Tournament hosted by Gala.


They were outstanding as they won all three pool matches against Hawick, Melrose and West of Scotland, before disposing of Selkirk by six tries to two in the semi-final.
The final saw a rematch with Hawick and in an enthralling and exciting game, the Wee Reds emerged victorious by four tries to three to claim the trophy.
The trophy and and individual medals which were presented by Scotland’s all time leading points scorer Chris Paterson who praised the team’s offloading skills.
The club’s second XV have already added to the club’s trophy collection by taking this season’s East Reserve League.
