Linlithgow are wary of Whitburn

Dechmont Forklift League Cup holders Linlithgow Rose are at home to Whitburn tonight. It's only a couple of seasons ago that both were both playing in the Super League but the Central Park side have seen successive relegations to end up in the South Division.

Linlithgow boss Dave Baikie is still wary, however, saying: "They are reported to be a young side with plenty of running in them. So it's up to us to keep our momentum going after scoring 12 goals in two games."

Bathgate travel to South Division new boys Falkirk Juniors at Grangemouth. Bathgate manager Graeme Love sees it as a trip into the unknown.

"We welcome them to the Juniors and look forward to playing in a new stadium for most of us. We've had a good pre-season and we're just looking to keep things moving along."

Musselburgh host Haddington and boss David McGlynn may look to reshuffle his line-up. Haddington will be looking to test themselves against last season's Scottish Cup finalists.

Super League champions Bo'ness, who are at home to Premier league side Armadale, will be looking to bounce straight back from their surprise defeat at Sauchie on Saturday. The pre-season has brought mixed results for Bo'ness with a lot of new players coming into the squad. That, plus losing three of their most influential players, has possibly put pressure on others still at Newtown Park. No doubt come the start of the Super League boss Paul Ronald will have the players gelling.

The Bonnyrigg versus Penicuik game will take care of itself. There is a good natured rivalry between these sides and with Penicuik having a good pre-season, they will be looking for a result against the Super League side.

Elsewhere, Broxburn play Edinburgh at Albyn Park on the artificial turf while there is a derby between Stoneyburn and Blackburn. Dunbar, who had their game against Arniston called off on Saturday, are at home to Tranent, with Livingston playing Spartans.

Last night, Arniston Ranger's fortunes took a turn for the better when they beat Dalkeith 1-0. Struggling to field a side last Saturday, the managerless club put 11 players on the park plus a substitute. A trialist striker grabbed the only goal of the game.

Meanwhile, Fauldhouse beat West Calder 6-2.
