Lineen rings changes in quest for big scalp

REIGNING champions Munster visit Firhill tonight, offering Glasgow the chance to take a high-profile scalp in their first home match of the RaboDirect Pro12 league.

Glasgow coach Sean Lineen has made four changes to the team that lost to Ulster last week, bringing in Ryan Grant, Nick Campbell, Henry Pyrgos and Federico Aramburu. Campbell, a Scottish Rugby Elite Development lock, will be making his first start for the club.

Lineen said: “I’m pleased for Nick and Henry, because they’re both players who work hard at their game and show an appetite to improve. Nick will benefit from having an experienced customer like Tom Ryder in there with him, while Henry has a season of professional rugby under his belt now and will offer us good control and game understanding at half-back.”

Munster have made one change to their backline and three up front following last Saturday’s 20-12 home win over Dragons.

That sole backline change sees Simon Zebo slot in at left wing at the expense of Denis Hurley who picked up a hamstring strain last weekend, while in the front row, Tony McGahan by and large just reverses the order from last weekend, with Wian du Preez, Damien Varley and John Hayes starting on this occasion ahead of Marcus Horan and Stephen Archer. Mike Sherry misses out with a shoulder knock sustained against Dragons.
