Ligament damage sidelines Wilson

GLASGOW No 8 Ryan Wilson has been ruled out of the club’s drive for the RaboDirect PRO12 play-offs, but internationalists Graeme Morrison and John Barclay are now expected to return. The trio suffered nasty-looking injuries in the win over Cardiff last Friday night and Glasgow have confirmed that Wilson, one of the Warriors’ star players this season, had suffered medial ligament damage in a knee which would require around eight weeks’ rehab before he could resume.

Morrison also suffered knee ligament damage but his is not so severe and while he will miss the next match, away to Munster in eight days’ time (live on BBC Alba), and probably the match at Treviso, he could return for the final league game at home to Connacht and, should the Warriors clinch a top-four spot, be fit for the semi-finals.

Barclay is said to be recovering well from concussion and should return to full training next week.
