Late Belgian strike dents young Scots' Euro hopes

SCOTLAND'S under-19 side went down 2-1 to Belgium in the second match of their Elite Group Qualifying campaign in Croatia after looking like they had struck back just in time to earn a draw. Bradden Inman cancelled out Ziguy Badibanga's opener with just three minutes left, but Belgian striker Rene Sterckx y Calle scored two minutes into injury time to deny the Scots.

Hosts Croatia moved to the top of Scotland's group with six points as they defeated Montenegro 3-0.
