Lacrosse: Squad net benefit

Scotland women's lacrosse squad have held a first international training weekend of the season as a major overseas tour looms.

Scottish seniors are lined up to visit the US in February for a series of matches and defence wing Suzie Clark, an Edinburgh dietician, says: "America are world champions, so the trip to play some of their college teams will be a great opportunity to develop our game by facing differing styles.

"Our weekend get together benefited from some of the Irish squad taking part and with under-21s training alongside us, there was plenty of depth."

Scotland finished third at the last European Championships with the next global event planned for 2013.
