Kris ready for new heights

Capital middle distance star Kris Gauson (Edinburgh AC) will have the first of a series of three races in Indianapolis later today as he seeks to test his fitness following three weeks of altitude training in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

“I’m delighted with the way my altitude training has gone and I think I can get close to four minutes in a mile in Indy even though there are not many competitors in it,” said the Scottish 800 metres champion.

“I’m looking to time trial to see what kind of shape I’m in.”

Gauson hopes to have pacemakers for another race over 3000m later in the month and a mile on January 28.
