Koya gives Heriot-Watt a Border win

Heriot-Watt University were made to work hard in their pre-season friendly against Border Amateur side Duns, and only a goal from Banji Koya, who has returned to play for the students after a spell with Whitehill Welfare, separated the teams.

Elsewhere, Leith Athletic drew 1-1 with Lothian Thistle while Vale of Leithen were trounced 5-0 by their Border Amateur neighbours, Leithen Rovers.

Tonight, First Division champions Stirling University host American students Wesley College, while tomorrow, there are several fixtures involving East Seniors teams including Whitehill Welfare against local rivals Easthouses Lily.

Craigroyston, who will be making a bid for promotion from the First Division this coming season, entertain Bonnyrigg Rose under-21s, while Tynecastle travel to meet Hawick Royal Albert.
