Koreans too strong for Clark and Olver

BADMINTON: British hopefuls Anthony Clark and Heather Olver failed in their quest to reach the semi-finals of the All England Championships last night.

The mixed doubles pair found Olympic champions Lee Yong-dae and Lee Hyo-jung of South Korea too strong and went down 21-19, 21-17 in an error-filled performance at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena.

In the first game Clark, 32, accidentally smashed the shuttlecock into the back of 23-year-old Olver's neck and both had trouble getting it over the net in the second.

Meanwhile, Briton Nathan Robertson is excited by the prospect of playing at Wembley at the 2012 London Olympics.

"I never got the chance to play at Wembley Arena in the All England so I think winning a medal there at the Olympics would be extra special," said Robertson.
