Knee op for Moray Low

MORAY Low is to undergo knee surgery following an injury he sustained in last weekend's Magners League match against Cardiff Blues.

The 25-year-old Glasgow Warriors prop, who won his sixth Scotland cap earlier this month when he played in the 18-9 defeat to France at Murrayfield, underwent a scan at Spire Murrayfield Hospital on Wednesday night.

Scotland team doctor James Robson said: "The scan has shown damage to Moray's right knee.

"He will now be under the care of specialist orthopaedic surgeon Graham Lawson at Spire Murrayfield Hospital and will have to undergo keyhole surgery.

"Typical recovery from such a procedure can take up to eight weeks and on behalf of the Scotland squad we would wish Moray a speedy return to the game."
