Kings and Inveraray surge to final

Kingussie will meet Inveraray in next month's Macaulay Cup final after both sides romped to impressive semi-final victories yesterday.

Kings were hammered 6-0 by Fort William on day two of the season but wrought revenge yesterday, winning 3-0.

Ronald Ross was instigator with a double, completing a great win with a solo strike.

For Inveraray, it was goals, goals, goals. They dished out a 9-0 pummelling to hapless Bute, with Neil Andrews scoring four.

Grant Griffin (2), Garry MacPherson, Euan McMurdo and Lewis MacNicoll completed the rout for the Argyll outfit, chasing their third Macaulay Cup in a row.

The scores means it is a re-run of last year's showcase at Mossfield, with Kingussie out to avenge that defeat.
