Kilmallie shock local rivals to reach cup final

KILMALLIE pulled off the shock of the season yesterday defeating Premier League leaders Fort William 4-3 to reach the MacTavish Cup final.

The lower league side have lived in the shadow of their town rivals for several seasons but the bragging rights in Lochaber are now theirs and they will face Kingussie in the final next month in Inverness.

Fraser Massie, Liam MacDonald (2) and Michael Rodgers were their heroes while Gordie MacKinnon, Drew Ferguson and Duncan Rodger netted for Fort.

Kingussie defeated Beauly in the other semi final 4-1 thanks to a four-goal haul from Ronald Ross.
