Kenny Miller makes Cardiff debut

KENNY Miller featured as a second-half substitute in Cardiff City's 1-1 pre-season friendly draw with Yeovil Town at Huish Park last night after finalising his move to the Championship side.

Cardiff confirmed yesterday afternoon that Scotland striker Miller had signed for the Welsh club from Turkish side Bursaspor.

The 31-year-old, who was also a target for his former club Rangers, has completed the move back to British football for a fee believed to be around 1 million.

Miller passed his medical over the weekend and the relevant paperwork has now arrived from Turkey to rubber-stamp the deal.

He scored 67 goals in two spells at Ibrox and has also played for Hibs, Wolves, Derby and Celtic.

New Cardiff manager Malky Mackay has also signed French striker Rudy Gestede, 22, who was released by FC Metz earlier this summer, to take his total of new recruits to nine.
