Kellett takes the lead at Blairgowrie

Ross Kellett leads the field at the halfway stage of the Scottish Golf Union's Eisenhower Invitational over a blustery Rosemount course at Blairgowrie.

The Colville Park youngster, who will form part of the three-man side for Scotland's defence of the World Team title in Argentina next month, hit rounds of 72 and 70 for a two-under 142.

Kellett leads the 21-man field by one shot from Lundin's former Scottish Boys' champion James White. Glenn Campbell and Scott Gibson share third on 144s while Scottish champion Michael Stewart, another member of the Eisenhower Trophy team, shares fifth on 145 after a 72 and a 73.

Meanwhile, Scott Henderson picked up a birdie on his final hole to clinch the Tartan Tour's Kerr Investments 36-hole Pro-Am at Dumfries & Galloway, winning by a shot from first-round leader Gareth Wright with a nine-under 131.

In the women's game, Sally Watson, Kelsey MacDonald and Louise Kenney have been chosen to represent Scotland in the Espirito Santo Trophy in Argentina on 20-23 October.
