Karlberg leads after two rounds in Delhi

SWEDE Richard Karlberg posted a three-under-par 69 to hold a one-stroke lead at the halfway point of the SAIL Open at Delhi Golf Club.

Karlberg retained his place at the top of the leaderboard in following up yesterday’s 65 with four birdies on his second nine to overcome a bogey at the 16th.

“It was a good recovery on the back nine and my game plan is to get to 18 under, I think that would be the winning score,” said the 23-year-old, who heads the field on 10 under. Scotland’s Ross Bain and Simon Dunn, however, both missed the cut. Indian Gaurev Ghei shot a 67 to lie second.
