Karate: Euan Hallifax clinches gold for Perth team
Facing tough competition from more than 200 competitors of all ages, Euan, pictured, fought his way to the final, where he had to win without conceding any points.
Ranked a brown-white belt, he was the only finalist still to attain his black belt and his win enabled the four-strong Perth team to claim the title of British champions.

“This is a great achievement for Euan and another example of the diverse sporting talent we have here at Strathallan,” said Audrey Sime, the director of sport at Strathallan. “It was a tremendous achievement for Euan and he should be very proud.
“Having recently completed our latest sports facilities development at the school, we look forward to encouraging our pupils to strive for more fantastic sporting success.”
