Meanwhile, former Northern Ireland internationalist Danny Griffin has hung up his boots after a 17-year playing career.

The 33-year-old defender, who won 29 caps, is bowing out on a high after helping Arbroath win the Third Division.

Griffin started his career with St Johnstone and was the subject of a 1 million bid by then Premiership side Derby County. He elected to stay in Perth and eventually moved on to become captain of Dundee United following a 600,000 transfer in 2000.

His career also took him to Stockport County and Dundee before he switched to Livingston and played a pivotal role in their title win two years ago.
