Johnson does the trick for Watson’s

HOCKEY: George Watson’s College scored a surprisingly easy 4-0 victory over big rivals Fettes College in the East of Scotland Schools’ fixtures.

Felicity Johnson grabbed a hat-trick and Ailie Clapperton completed the scoring.

“Fettes have had a good season and we were expecting a really tough match,” said Linda Clement, the Watson’s head coach. Already winners of the 1st XI Tournament, the Tipperlinn team remain firmly on course for an East of Scotland schools double. In the quarter-finals of the East Knock-Out Cup, Watson’s defeated North Berwick High School and now face St George’s, who overcame Loretto in a pressure-packed penalty shoot-out.
