MOTHERWELL winger Jim O'Brien has signed a pre- contract agreement with Barnsley and will move to the Coca-Cola Championship club this summer.

The former Celtic player, who enjoyed loan spells at Dunfermline and Dundee United before signing for Well, will make his last appearance against Rangers tomorrow.

Hearts had been hoping to secure the 22-year-old's services but have lost out to the Tykes.
