Jackie McNamara set to quit Falkirk for Thistle

FALKIRK defender Jackie McNamara is set to quit the club in the next 48 hours to take up a player/coaching role at Partick Thistle.

The 36-year-old is in talks with Bairns officials over the final three months of his contract to clear a path for him to join up with Jags manager Ian McCall at the First Division club. The former Celtic and Scotland full-back was left out of the squad for Steven Pressley's first game in charge on Saturday, which ended in a 3-2 defeat to Hearts.
