J-league delegation comes to Tynecastle

OVER 20 representatives from Japan's J-League will attend Tynecastle today as part of a study on Hearts' day-to-day operations.

Clubs such as Cerezo Osaka, Gamba Osaka, Kawasaki Frontale, Giravanz Kitakyushu and Toshigi Soccer Club will be present as Hearts take on St Mirren in the SPL.

The delegation are keen to study the workings of a professional club in Scotland in an effort to learn more about the European game.

Hearts managing director David Southern said: "We are very much looking forward to welcoming such distinguished guests from the J-League. We are also keen to exchange views and, where possible, to share expertise and ideas.

"It is gratifying to know that the J-League clubs see Hearts as a good example of a professional football club and we will be discussing aspects such as successful youth development and stadium operations with the delegates."
