Inverleith target cup final shock

HOCKEY: Inverleith go into today's Arthur McKay Scottish Cup final against the might of Glynhill Kelburne as massive underdogs, but with a determination to end a 35-year wait for silverware.

Captain Stephen Dick said of the Peffermill clash with the Scottish champions: "The cup has been our main focus in the second half of the season and we're putting everything into it. Even though their team is packed with internationalists, we have a lot of self belief."

An additional carrot for Inverleith is that if they were to win the cup they would face Western Wildcats, league runners-up, for the second European spot next season.

The women's final will be the first meeting this season between holders Grove and Milne Craig Western.
