Ice Hockey: Neil ramps up player search

Edinburgh CAPITALS have today stepped up their global player search to ahead of the transfer deadline.

Owner Scott Neil is down to two imports for the double-header with league champions Coventry Blaze starting in the Midlands tomorrow.

European players look the most likely and Neil conceded: "It is a difficult situation for the club but it may present an ideal opportunity for some players looking to showcase themselves for next season.

"The club has kick-started many players' careers. who may have perhaps never had a chance. A little bit of experience would be nice also, but we are up against time with the transfer card deadline on the January 31."
