Ice Hockey: Caps out Tay boost spirits

MISFIRING Edinburgh Capitals travel to Dundee CCS Stars tonight in the East Coast Cup seeking a confidence boost.

The Elite League bottom-markers have only collected a point so far having been beaten 10-1 at Northern League outfit Fife Flyers followed by a 2-2 draw against the Kirkcaldy club at Murrayfield.

Dundee lost 5-2 at Fife who have made a great start to the inaugural competition.

And the Tayside team look set to ice two former Capitals players in their line-up - utility man Jeff Marshall and forward Paddy Lochi are both expected to play.

Dan Ceman, Stars' player/coach, may use some of the emerging Dundee Comets players, who normally ice in the Scottish National League, during the game. "We're looking to continue winning on Wednesday particularly as losing at Fife left a bad taste," he said.
