Ice Hockey: Caps' Cingel at the double

FIRED-UP Edinburgh Capitals sought revenge over Fife Flyers in last night's East Coast Cup but were held to a 2-2 draw.

The Murrayfield ice hockey outfit, humiliated 10-1 at Kirkcaldy last week in the opening game of the inaugural competition, wanted to redress the balance.

Capitals struck first through skipper Martin Cingel after eight minutes but Fife drew level only three minutes later through Steven Gunn. Flyers took the lead for the first time midway through the second stanza with a strike from Andy Samuel.

Never-say-die Capitals roared back into the contest, netting the equaliser through the impressive Cingel.
