How Rangers' SPL title-winning squad rated this season

Rangers' title-winning squad:

ALLAN McGREGOR 8/10

His personal life continues to dominate the headlines but his form on the pitch has not been affected and he has excelled.

DAVID WEIR 9

Despite hitting 40 today, the veteran has played every minute of every league game, earning player of the year awards from the SPL and the Scottish Football Writers' Association.

STEVEN WHITTAKER 7

One of Rangers' more versatile players, he appears to have made right-back role his own and has also weighed in with an impressive return of 11 goals this campaign.

SASA PAPAC 7

An unsung hero, the Bosnian is one of the team's most consistent performers at left-back. Confident in defence but also willing to support the front players.

MADJID BOUGHERRA 7

An inconsistent season marred by injuries, as well as late returns from international duty. The defender is still one of Rangers' best players and his surging runs forward are almost legendary.

DANNY WILSON 8

Thrust in to deputise for Bougherra, the 18-year-old made more appearances than his more experienced team-mate and has sparked the interest of Liverpool.

STEVEN DAVIS 9

Voted player of the year by PFA Scotland, the midfielder has enjoyed another productive season, all the more impressive due to being denied his favoured position in central midfield.

KEVIN THOMSON 7

Demonstrated flashes of the skill in the middle of the park, but has yet to fulfil completely his potential since signing from Hibs for 2m over three years ago.

LEE McCULLOCH 8

Flourished when handed a regular midfield role and has enjoyed his best season in a Rangers jersey, with only occasional lapses in discipline letting him down.

KYLE LAFFERTY 6

Made headlines for all the wrong reasons for his antics on and off the pitch. Famously earned a rollicking from skipper David Weir, which may have done the trick as he ended the season on a high with a few key goals.

KRIS BOYD 7

The striker was in superb form in the first half of the season, replacing Henrik Larsson as the SPL's all-time top goalscorer, but failed to rediscover his form after a double hernia operation

KENNY MILLER 8

Unlucky not to be included in the end-of-season awards. As well as his usual tireless workrate to act as provider, he weighed in with more than 20 goals.

STEVEN NAISMITH: 6

Has made a decent contribution both up front and wide but is another who has yet to fulfil his potential after the early part of his Rangers career was hit by injury.

NACHO NOVO 6

Largely restricted to starting on the bench, the Spaniard looks set for the exit door, but his endless energy, graft and commitment make him a firm fans' favourite.

KIRK BROADFOOT 5

Some fine performances after a return from a lengthy injury, but various other niggles saw him struggle to hold down a place.
