The Perthshire hotel owned by tennis star Andy Murray has been named the most luxurious in Scotland – for the third year running.

Cromlix, close to the Murray’s hometown of Dunblane, has been voted the Luxury Hotel of the Year at this year’s Scottish Hotel Awards. The plush Victorian property has won the award every year since it first opened its doors in 2014. Cromlix’s culinary consultant, celebrity chef Albert Roux, also received this year’s Fellowship for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry at the award ceremony in Edinbrugh last night.

Balbirnie House in Markinch in Fife was named Scottish Hotel of The Year and also Wedding Hotel of the Year.
