Horse Racing: Gelding to follow up win at Musselburgh just 12 days ago

With the weather warming up, racing looks sure to go ahead at Musselburgh tomorrow when Nelliedonethat looks the best bet on the East Lothian track.

The gelding is developing into a real course specialist having registered three of his seven career victories on the seaside circuit, the latest of them at the last meeting here just 12 days ago

That was over two-and-a-half miles and, after taking the lead before halfway, he was well in command in the closing stages to come home 15 lengths clear.

The seven-year-old faces the same trip again tomorrow and although the handicapper has put him up by almost a stone, he really stays well and can prove too strong again for these rivals.

Good young rider Campbell Gillies has been on board for all three victories here and again takes the mount in the Betfair.com Paul Nicholls Handicap Chase (3.35pm)

Jockey Graham Lee has a good record here and can get his supporters off to a good start by taking the opening Toteplace Mares Novices Hurdle (1.35pm) on Miss Abbey.

The seven-year-old made a successful debut in a bumper on this card 12 months ago and has since shown promise over hurdles, finishing fourth on her debut over timber on this track in November.

She then finished in the middle of a big field at Ayr and will be fitter now, while she is closely related to that very good chaser Grey Abbey, so is certainly worth close scrutiny.

Archies Wish cut little ice in eight starts over hurdles, but it has been a different tale since he switched to chasing with two victories and several good efforts.

The gelding made a successful debut over fences at Sedgefield in August and was still close up when falling at the final obstacle at Cartmel a week later.

He bounced back to score again at Sedgefield the following month and has been placed in his last two races at Wetherby, so may well take some beating in the Boogie in the Morning Conditional Jockeys Handicap Chase (2.05pm).

Ballymacduff gained just reward for some fair efforts when ending last term with a victory at Perth in May and he has finished third on both starts so far this season.

The seven-year-old ran really well when third at Kelso on his reappearance in November and made much of the running when occupying the same position at Ayr earlier this month.

He was favourite there and can recoup the losses tomorrow despite having to carry top weight in the Cosmic Case Handicap Hurdle (3.05pm).
