Horse Racing: Editor can be Picture perfect at Goodwood

Picture Editor can get his career back on track with victory in the IBA Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood.

Still in the Derby, the future looked very bright for Henry Cecil's colt last season, with a taking debut success at Doncaster coming at the chief expense of Nathaniel, who showed that form in a good light with his second in the Chester Vase the other week. He then enjoyed a stroll at Leicester at long odds-on, only to disappoint on his final start of the campaign when third at Newmarket.

Cecil wrote that off as him simply being over the top, but it was a surprise to see him reappear as pacemaker to stablemate Frankel in the Greenham at Newbury. That can be forgotten about too and he has been given plenty of time to ready himself for what could be a stepping stone to much better things.

John Gosden fires a couple of bullets at the Casco Height Of Fashion Stakes with stable jockey William Buick opting for the potentially exciting Imperial Pippin. Saborido really stands out in the RUK Sussex Stayers Handicap for the Amanda Perrett team.
