Hooper has Stokes' tally in his sights

Celtic striker Gary Hooper has set his sights on more goals following his double against Hibs last night - and wants to finish the season with more goals than his strike partner Anthony Stokes.

Stokes, who scored the opener against his former club, still remains in front with 19 goals to Hooper's 17 but the Englishman says there is still time for him to come out on top.

He said: "He's two ahead of me in total and I'm one ahead in league goals. There are nine games left and I just hope I keep scoring."

Hooper should have added to his own tally against Hibs but blew his chance of a hat-trick when he missed a penalty, having already converted from the spot earlier in the game.

The win allowed Celtic to reclaim top spot in the SPL with a two-point advantage, after Rangers had briefly moved into pole position 24 hours earlier with a win at St Johnstone.

Hooper said: "We need to win every game, that's our aim. We're back at the top of the league and everyone looked fresh, everyone looked sharp."
