Honours for Stirling in universities event

STIRLING chalked up a third title of the week as they beat Aberdeen 12.5-2.5 to win the Scottish Universities Championship for the eighth time in 11 years at Moray.

"We have tried to strengthen the cometititve ethos of the players this year, preparing them for a summer of top-level amateur golf," said coach Dean Robertson. "These victories, on a pair of stunning courses, were hard earned and well deserved."
