Hockey: Scots make it three out of three

Scotland completed a hat-trick of victories over the USA with a 7-2 thumping in the third of four test matches at Forthbank. The Scots totally dominated against a side three places ahead of them in the world rankings, a good omen for coach Russell Garcia as the Commonwealth Games draws ever closer.

It took the Scots only five minutes to take the lead, and they confirmed their success with goals from Ross Stott, Niall Stott, Gordon McIntyre, Alan Forsyth, Mark Ralph Stephen Dick and Kenny Bain.

They led 3-0 at half-time and although the Americans managed to pull two goals back, they were unable to match the Scots' firepower.
