Hockey: Kelburne in danger of drop

KELBURNE'S dream of a medal in the EuroHockey Club Trophy in Rome took a severe dent when they conceded six goals to Russian side Izmaylova Moscow yesterday.

The game was over as a contest by half time when the Russians were three up, but the loss of three further goals put Kelburne bottom of the table on goal difference from Irish side Loreto.

Kelburne must now beat ARA La Gantoise from Belgium today to avoid the spectre of relegation.
