Hockey: Inverleith tame Western Wildcats to reach final

INVERLEITH marched into the final of the Arthur McKay Scottish Cup with a hard fought 2-1 win over Western Wildcats at Peffermill.

Chris Reid put Inverleith ahead in the first half before Stephen Dick added a second. Andrew Sewnauth reduced the deficit.

Holders Grange crashed out 4-0 to Glynhill Kelburne. The Paisley outfit were two up at the interval, Chris Nelson opening to be followed by an Alan Forsyth strike. Kenny Bain reduced the arrears.

In the women's competition, Milne Craig Western beat VWS Dundee Wanderers 3-1, while Grove beat Orange Sox 10-0.
