Hockey: Harper plucks Morris for Grange side

PACE-SETTING Grange have signed South African forward Andrew Morris to strengthen their bid for hockey's Division One title.

The Open University student has family in Edinburgh and arrived at the club through contacts.

Grange player/coach Craig Harper, who lost Scottish internationalist Callum Milne to English side Surbiton in the winter break, said: "Callum is a big miss as he is a quality player and scored goals for us.

"We wish Callum well as he bids to strengthen his international prospects, but Andrew has come in and he will be an asset to us."

Morris looks set to play on Saturday as the Edinburgh-based league leaders travel to reigning champions Kelburne hoping to bounce back after their 2-1 defeat to Kelburne at Peffermill last Sunday.
