Hockey: Grange target Watsonians

GRANGE Hockey Club face a derby against Watsonians on Sunday as they try to progress in the Scottish Cup – their only remaining chance of silverware, writes NIGEL DUNCAN.

On paper. Grange should win with something to spare against a Watsonians side who have only earned one point in their three Division 1B matches.

Earlier this season, Grange beat Watsonians 7-1 outdoors and coach Colin Clark said: "Winning against Watsonians in the cup is a priority as we would like to retain the trophy we won in May."

Fourth-placed Inverleith entertain Tayside outfit Menzieshill, who are fifth with an inferior goal difference. Both clubs have 15 points from their nine games but Menzieshill edged the previous fixture 3-2.

In Division 1B, Edinburgh University, who top the table, visit bottom club Stepps while second-bottom Waverley, Inveresk, Trinity entertain fourth-placed Uddingston.
