Hockey: Grange seek the joy of six against city rivals Inverleith

GRANGE aim to extend their unbeaten league run to six games when they clash head-on with Edinburgh hockey rivals Inverleith at Peffermill tomorrow.

The Stockbridge combine, who are level on 13 points with Division One pace-setters Western, are fully focused on the league following Sunday's shock dismissal from the Scottish Cup by Division Two leaders CALA Edinburgh.

And they should have experienced Phil Sully restored to the line-up after he injured his shoulder in the narrow 2-1 win over Clydesdale last Saturday.

Cammy Fraser, who was in India with Scotland for the Commonwealth Games, also makes his league comeback as does Craig Harper, Grange's player/coach, who was absent last weekend.

David Knipe has not yet been given the all-clear after a groin injury but Gary Cameron, who also missed last weekend, makes his comeback against Inverleith. Harper said: "We're looking for the next five games, with respect, against lesser opposition to really push on in the league. We're still unbeaten and we always face a tough game against Inverleith."

Edinburgh University, who are eighth, entertain fifth-placed Menzieshill looking for their first win of the campaign at the sixth attempt.

In Division Two, CALA travel to Motherwell while second-placed Watsonians are at Stepps and struggling Waverley Inveresk Trinity, who are tenth in the 12-strong table, entertain Granite City who are sixth.
