Hockey: Grange know missing Games coach won't hurt Students

GRANGE aim to plunder two points from Edinburgh University at Peffermill tomorrow to underline their hockey Division One challenge.

The Stockbridge-based outfit will be at full strength with Phil Sully and Martin Johnstone back and there will be no complacency in the ranks of the currently unbeaten third-placed team despite the fact that the eighth-placed students were turned over 10-1 at Western last Saturday and have only taken a point from their opening three games.

Craig Harper, player/coach of Grange, who guided his men to a 6-2 away win at Wanderers last week, said: "You can't underestimate a team which has been coached by Olympian Graham Moodie for the last 18 months. Of course, Graham won't be there as he is with the Commonwealth Games team, but the students are full of running, they are energetic and keen and you can't take them lightly."
