Hockey: Grange book spot in final

SCOTTISH internationalist Wei Adams fired a double as Grange roared into today's final of the EuroHockey Club Trophy.

Adams' two strikes came in the second half as the Scots disposed of Welsh whipping boys Whitchurch 4-0 in their final pool game in Cardiff. Colin McIvor opened the Edinburgh side's account with a brilliant strike after 35 seconds and Nicky Lange made it 2-0 ten minutes later.

Adam's double guaranteed a final clash with Russian side Dinamo Elektrostal and Colin Clarke, Grange's player/coach, said: "We watched them in training and they are really strong but our boys have improved with every game."
