Hockey: Glasgow side survive early home scare

In a rather turgid, affair Greaves Clydesdale maintained their perfect record with a 2-1 win over a plucky Grove Menzieshill side at Titwood.

The Taysiders shocked the Glasgow favourites with a goal in the opening minute from Chris Wilson, but Clydesdale were back level in 14 minutes through Raymond Wrightson. Four minutes later Ciaran Crawford put the Glasgow outfit 2-1 up with a deceptive low drag flick at a penalty corner. Western Wildcats handed out a 7-1 mauling to Inverleith to stay top of the table. The goals came from Scott McCartney (3), Douglas Simpson (2), Ian Moodie and Andrew Sewnauth.

AMN Hillhead put in a spirited fightback to draw 3-3 with VWS Dundee Wanderers after being three down to their opponents early in the second half.
