Hockey: CALA face sterner test at Milne Craig Western

HOCKEY: CALA Edinburgh leapt into fourth spot in the Subway national league with a 4-1 victory over Kelburne last week, but they face a sterner test in Milne Craig Western today.

The Titwood outfit struggled to score against VWS Dundee Wanderers last Saturday, but with Sam Judge back on target, and Holly Cram available again, the CALA defence could struggle.

The clash between Giffnock and Wanderers could be close, with Rhona Simpson's charges keen to climb the table. In the relegation pool Edinburgh University will hope to continue their winning sequence by completing the double over Highland InveRoss. GHK have a local derby against Hillhead while Grange are looking for another three points away to Western Wildcats.

Dundee Wanderers should see off Aberdeen Asset Management on Tayside but the confrontation between Stepps and Watsonians could be a closer affair.
