Oban, from Balloch, took up power boating as a sport just over two years ago when she was just eight years old.

Last year Oban was the youngest Scottish Junior RIB (rigid inflatable boat) champion. Her success, skill and enthusiasm has been recognised by the Union Internationale Motornautique (UIM), the international body for powerboat racing.

UIM have just appointed Oban as their Propstars Ambassador, the youngest person ever to receive that accolade.

Last month, Oban attended the 89th UIM General Assembly in Fuhairah in Abu Dhabi where she made two presentations and was invited to give a powerboat demonstration.
