Hibs: You're the Boss

DAVIE SIMMONDS says Hibs need to blow away the cobwebs of the last fortnight and put out a full-strength side. The 22-year-old labourer from The Shore thinks the Hibees can restore some confidence.

What would your team and formation be? I'd give Derek Riordan a run in his proper position, right up front, rather than on the wing, and give Daniel Galbraith a start.

What are Irvine Meadow's strengths and weaknesses? Their strength is that the pressure is all on Hibs, as well as our Scottish Cup record. They'll bring a good crowd. However, weakness wise, they won't have played for a wee while, plus you're talking night and day in comparing the teams. After the hour mark, the massive jump in fitness will take its toll on them.

How will you counter their strengths and exploit their weaknesses? The worst-case scenario would be to get to half-time without having scored. You can imagine some folk would be getting on the players' backs and nerves could set in. But again, even if that is the case I'm thinking we'll push away at that stage and get a comfortable win.

What do Hibs have to do to win the game? Riordan and Galbraith have points to prove. Riordan will want to get his goals tally up to keep up with Stokes. Galbraith has an ideal opportunity here to show what he can do, even if it is against lower league opposition. If we play to our full potential, this game shouldn't be a problem.
