Hibs: your Views

HIBBIES had plenty to say about the failure to beat Ross County in the Cup quarter-final at Easter Road.

Dave, Bonnyrigg: "That was a deplorable spectacle. A back line including David Wotherspoon, Chris Hogg and Paul Hanlon is poor in the air, poor in positional play and they are poor passers of the ball. Ross County successfully played high balls in all day and were unlucky not to score more. The midfield support from Kevin McBride, John Rankin and Liam Miller was non-existent."

Jim McLennan, The Inch: "Have we blown it? It is going to be very difficult when we go to Dingwall for the replay. We will have to take the game by the scruff of the neck and finish them off in the first half. County were the better team so Yogi will have to change his tactics."

Stevie Duff: "Easter Road at full time was a crime scene. Chief Inspector Taggart was looking for 11 suspects in green and white shirts who are suspected of the attempted murder of the beautiful game. Woeful!"

Nicky Lee, Leith: "I don't know what was worse, being outplayed by Ross County, Yogi's tactical ineptitude or the fairweather fans booing the team."

Neil Wilson, Prestonfield: "Yogi will have to instil some self-belief in this team before it self-destructs after such a promising start. I thought the booing the team received was out of order. We are still in the cup and have a chance to rectify matters."

George Gibb, Musselburgh: "We will never win a cup playing like that. I am not looking forward to the replay. On Saturday they let my coupon down for 365 pounds – I'm gutted."

Steve McKenzie, Bellevue: "Ross County battered us for the whole second half. How any player can have the cheek to complain about people booing is beyond me. Have a look at yourselves, instead of moaning about the fans. Also, Yogi, please get your tactics sorted as Hearts and Ross County will be looking forward to running riot against our non-existent midfield."
