Hibs: Your Say

Andy Brown, Duddingston: "I'm still in shock. How can we be 6-2 up and still manage to snatch a draw? This is right up there with the 4-4 game at Tynecastle. Twenty-five minutes to go and we are 6-2 up – how can we draw the game? I don't remember the Motherwell keeper actually making a save during the game.

"Did we score every time we got a shot on target? Taking Riordan off just invited Motherwell to get further up the park and we crumbled, not for the first time this season.

"Motherwell even missed a penalty. We do not know how to make tactical substitutions. I think that's two wins out of 16 games. This is just not good enough.

"The manager carries the can for this and it is time we actually got one in place. His post-match interview was also a joke. He attempts to talk like an intellectual but ends up sounding like a fool. It is almost the same mantra every week now.

"On the plus side Colin Nish did score a hat-trick. This just goes to show what a strange game football is."

Lee McLennan, Corstorphine: "I think that in the first half we were absolutely brilliant. I haven't seen a Hibs performance like that this year. We were just outstanding – from the defence to our strikers. However, at 6-2 up we bottled it again. We just totally bottled it.

"I think Yogi's biggest mistake was in taking off Derek Riordan. He had been keeping Jim O'Brien, on the Motherwell wing, very quiet. As soon as we took off Riordan that gave O'Brien a lot more freedom and the chance to send in some great crosses. Hogg – our captain – doesn't have a clue at all.

"If you ask me, you can't blame the manager. After we went 6-2 up it was clear that Motherwell wanted it more and Hibs have no passion at the moment. At least this result means that Hearts can't finish above us on Sunday. For Saturday I think Yogi just needs to pick up the boys and try and finish fourth.

"The fact that Dundee United might have one eye on the Scottish Cup final gives us a good chance and I'm sure Yogi can get us fired up for that one."

Keith Richards, Morningside: "Words fail me. Only John Hughes and calamitous Hibs could lay down and die so shamefully.

"Hughes has embarrassed every single Hibs supporter on the planet. Last night's capitulation was the final straw for me.

"I did seriously want to give him another chance and another half season, but relegation is too big a gamble and this current crop of players and this management team have every chance of securing a First Division place by the end of next season if wholesale changes are not made immediately this summer.

"Mr Petrie must surely react to the frustration and fury of the supporters. This game epitomised the last four months – one dire surrender after another. I have never witnessed a half-season collapse on this scale.

"Losing is one thing when there is obvious fight, but the sheer lack of desire or application in so many games, coupled with schoolboy defending and questionable tactics, leads me to conclude that John Hughes is indeed one of those that can talk-the-talk and utterly fail when it comes to walking-the-walk.

"There is absolutely no chance I will be purchasing a season ticket with this guy in charge and most of these players in place. Please do the honourable thing John and go now. Accept that you were presented with the biggest opportunity of your footballing life and blew it big-time."
