Steve McKenzie, Bellevue: "I really do fear for us this season. Dundee United will be strong again and Hearts have seen where their problems were and have brought in players. I'm sorry but players like Colin Nish, John Rankin, Chris Hogg and Graeme Smith are not good enough and we have a team that is incapable of defending. We need to bring in a left back, a centre half and another striker and stop using the new stand as an excuse for not wanting to spend any money."
John Murray, South Queensferry: "Can someone from the Hibs management team explain what benefit there is in playing Colin Nish? He is slow, his heading ability is poor and the number of goals he scores just isn't good enough."
