Hibs: Your say

Scott Peter, Musselburgh: "The season is upon us and still we don't know for sure if the manager is staying or going. He has never come out and said he wants to stay at Hibs and I don't think he is fully committed to the job in hand. This is backed by the fact he has only signed three players - two of which are former fans' favourites. We are still a good three or four players short."

Tony Watt, Kirkliston: "Third bottom last season after going weeks without scoring a goal. We sell a real potential goalscorer Kurtis Byrne to Ross County and now Hibs complain they are short of strikers."

Bob Fleming: "Players fighting; is the manager going or staying?; Cillian Sheridan moving to St Johnstone. This isn't much to inspire Hibbies to buy season tickets but I hope I'm wrong."

William Greenfield, East Craigs: "I've been a Hibs fan for over 30 years but I - and many of my friends - have stopped going to matches. When is Rod Petrie going to realise that in football you must speculate to accumulate? It's all well and good having a sound business and nice stadium - but will there be fans to fill it without a decent team on the park? Hibs fans have shown remarkably loyalty over the years - now the Board needs to give them something back in return."

Derek Cochrane: "The Hibs manager and his coaching team should look back over the last five years (at least) and count the number of goals conceded by the players during the first and last five minutes of each half of games played. Their preparations for the new season should start with making sure these goals cease being conceded."
