Hibs: The Final Answer

With Ian Murray on a new deal, we asked what other players Hibs should tie up..

Alan McLean, Granton: "It's great that Ian Murray has signed. He was a priority but there are some who have had their chance and not proved they are worth a new deal, Yves Ma-Kalambay has had a few chances and has been found lacking in big game, the likes of Patrick Cregg hasn't had much of a chance but we are well covered for small midfield players. Liam Miller is a must if we can get him to sign a longer deal."

Munchar, Hibees Bounce: "Without a doubt Liam Miller. There is one year left on his contract so it's an ideal time to offer a deal with the feelgood factor at the club. He has a young family and has made his money, so he may want to settle down now. It also shows the intention of us building a squad with quality players and could attract other players to come and also to re-sign."

Steven Adams, Muirhouse: "Liam Miller is on a two-year contarct so he is not the main priority but it would be good to sign him on a long-term deal. We have enough cover in various other positions and I can see a few players being let go at the end of their deals. John Hughes is looking for more players but I'm afraid we will have to let a lot go first."

SeanRaff07, Hibees Bounce: "I'd only consider Benji. Cregg can't get a game in front of Rankin so he doesn't stand much of a chance of getting a game and Maka is completely out of favour it seems."

Sticky Ricky, Hibees Bounce: "I would only sign Benji on new contract but that's if he wants to stay. Having Graeme Smith and Mark Brown as goalies, I think its time Maka found a new club as he will want to be starting more games. Patrick Cregg can also leave in my opinion."

Jim Mackie, Leith: "There will be a few released as quite a lot haven't threatened for a first team start or even a place on the bench. Benji is a must but a few others will need to look for other employment. We need good players at the club and, in the current cash climate, the clubs hold the aces at the moment. There are a lot of players looking for clubs so, unless the ones whose contacts are up show they are good enough, them I'm afraid that it will be goodbye to quite a lot of them. Quality rather than quantity should be Hughes motto, spend wisely and give us a team we deserve."
