Hibs rout helps Jones celebrate a 75th cap

RHONDA Jones was at Hampden yesterday to collect a special shirt marking her 75th Scotland cap – 24 hours after scoring in a women's top-flight record 19-0 win for her club side Hibernian.

Defender Jones was named in national coach Anna Signeul's 19-strong squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Georgia in Tbilisi on Saturday and Bulgaria at Falkirk on Thursday, 1 April.

Jones scored the second of Hibs' incredible 19-goal haul against Kilmarnock at East Mains on Sunday. The other scorers were Claire Emslie (4), Debbie McWhinnie (4), Ellen Pia (3), Kirsty McBride (3), Joelle Murray (2), Laura Kennedy and Lisa Robertson.
