Hibs: Final Answer

What are your views on John Hughes stating that he has no plans for wholesale changes to his squad this summer?

Richard Perry, Inch: "My view is that if it's true then he has completely lost my backing and is not the man to take us forward. And I was one of his most loyal backers."

Beate Pannasch, Sachsen, Germany: "I can only presume he's trying to give the current squad an incentive for reaching the finishing line, as wholesale changes really are what are required. If I'm wrong, and he genuinely believes what he said, then the first change I'd make would be the manager. Too many of the current squad either don't have the ability or winning mentality to move Hibs on."

George Donaldson, Aberdeen: "This worried me immensely, he need wholesale changes. He doesn't have a central defence or a right back. The second half of the season highlights that these are the areas in the team that need changed and immediately. We have gone from being the front runners to relegation form in four months so, if he thinks that squad doesn't need serious surgery, then it must be goodbye Yogi."

John Bowie, Edinburgh: "I am absolutely sure John Hughes knows what areas he wants to strengthen and I'm equally sure he will do his best to do just that. He has a far better knowledge of his players than the fans so I'll take him at his word. Rollercoaster of a season but thanks guys, enjoy the close season and I look forward to seeing you next season."

Gavin O'Neill, Lochend: "It's not the team that needs changed, it's Yogi and Brian Rice who have had a go and blown it. In recent results and performances we've lost five goals to St Johnstone, four to Hamilton, six to Motherwell and four to Rangers. We have twice been out played by the worst Hearts team in years and Dundee United ran all over us on our own ground. The statement about the squad reeks of a man who is way out of his depth."

Robert Kelly, Carricknowe: "I think John Hughes would like to ship out a few players in the summer but, if they are under contract, which other clubs would buy some of the dross Hibs have?"
